The importance of community

A sweet friendship refreshes the soul (adapted from Proverbs 27 verse 9). Being a community that loves people is a core part of our vision. One of the ways in which we aim to enable people to be a community and to love and care for one another is through our small group programme.

Each term we launch a new set of groups that run for up to ten weeks, some weekly and some fortnightly. Group leaders are free to choose a theme or topic for their groups that they enjoy. That enjoyment we believe is infectious. Plus the aim is for people with similar tastes to join together for fun, study and, most importantly, friendship.

This term's small groups begin this week. We are thrilled to see some firm favourites are still running such as the short mat bowls group. There are also lots of new groups to choose from. The biggest complaint we get is that there is too much choice because 'they all look so good!'

If you haven't yet signed up to a group it isn't too late. Go to:

We pray that this week you will be blessed by sweet friendships, both existing and new.
